In a press release in Jakarta ASUS reveals that his newest server is equipped with a system of four nodes in size chassis 2U with 12 DIMM slots per node, offers diverse functions, redundant power supply with high efficiency, hot swap when maintenance, remote management and ease of upgrade.
Overall it is specifically designed to meet the business and the company that need access with fast performance.
Performance computing four nodes to the extreme with 2U form factor leverages the capabilities of the processor series of the Intel (r) 5500/5600, RS724Q-E6/RS12 equipped with 4 nodes hot-pluggable in the form of server chassis 2U, where each node supports the use of 6-core CPU and 4-core, plus the availability of 12 DIMM memory slot that supports up to 96GB.
All high performance computing presents four nodes with compact 2U server form, with a total of 48 core computing capabilities and the availability of the 48 slot DIMM.
RS724Q-E6/RS12 also comes with a power supply 600W 80Plus Platinum 1. Double, for the configuration of power supply redundant that efficient, with power efficiency on average 88% (under load).
Abundant power supply ensures the stability and reliability for the use of a vital in the company, or on high performance computing (HPC). The power supply up to 1.600W redundant mode available in 2 + 1, for companies that want to optimize power consumption.
Automatic load balancing also allows both to share the burden of the use of the power supply to maximize efficiency and stability of power.
High speed interconnect with InfiniBand QDR (r) and ease of maintenance (r) Onboard InfiniBand QDR (40 GB/s) with the port QFSP make RS724Q-E6/RS12 suitable for HPC needs speed transfer and low latency.
This Server provides useful features such as hot swap for hard drives, fan and power supply, are also nodes hot-pluggable, eases the process of service and replacement, without requiring the server offline. Each node has its own panel so easy access, and can perform maintenance while other nodes remain operational.
RS724Q-E6/RS12 also supports the use of upgrade kit ASUS PIKE (optional) using PIKE or PIKE card combo riser, to add support SAS ports. Upgrade from support SATA to SAS 2.0 make it faster, easier maintenance and allows the development of the cost.
Enhancements ASMB4-iKVM upgrade kit comes with an online graphical user interface, allowing the whole remote control functionality on the server, while ASUS software eases the implementation and management of ASWM with user friendly interface.
