Jakarta (AFP)-Verizon Wireless more selling iPhone through online rather than through retail stores in the United States.

Verizon Chief Executive Daniel Mead to Reuters says that demand for the iPhone has penetrated the highest record since Verizon Wireless sell it on its homepage since 3 February.

Mead says that the lack of line at retail stores when Verizon Wireless iPhone launch day on 10 February, might be due to some 60 per cent of the sale of iPhone in Verizon Web page.

He says the iPhone is a factor which means because many users are moved from another carrier to Verizon Wireless.

According to Mead, booking online when the iPhone through rush-hour increased 100 times compared to regular hours, but he refused to give the amount.

Mead reaffirm the target company which will sell 11 million iPhones in 2011. He said Verizon will provide data specific iPhone sales numbers when first quarter earnings report.

"This is the largest retail launch we have ever seen," said the Executive. "When I see the market during the last three weeks of sales iPhone sold more than on previous devices sales."

The launch of the iPhone by Verizon ending football operator AT & T Inc. for three years which has exclusive rights to sell the iPhone in the us.

AT & T received many complaints about poor track network traffic caused by the denseness of additional data from iPhone users. Verizon says it operates well though should be added additional data traffic from the iPhone.

Even so, Verizon Wireless is not spared from iPhone reception problems caused by the antenna of the HP, according to Consumer Reports.

Consumer Reports is a nonprofit organization that provides a guide to the influential with users when want to buy a car up to the TV.

Consumer Reports on Friday saying holds iPhone Verizon "certain way" can cause a phone call is disconnected. Yet Mead says on-device iPhone calls disconnected Verizon only 0.5 per cent.
