Asia Link Holdings Limited is a subsidiary undertaking CVC Capital Partners Asia Pacifik III LP and CVC Capital Partners Asia Pacific Parallel III-A L.P.
"In the general meeting of shareholders (EGM) of the company today, has approved the transaction that is related to the plan by publishing new LN shares," said President Director KBLV Hengkie Liwanto after the EGM in Jakarta, Tuesday.
He says, the background of this transaction is executed to obtain needed funding, liability as well as Link Net to FMTV growth and development of his business activities in the future.
In a series of action, he said, the CVC will pay the First Media of Rp722 billion to bond instruments. In addition, the CVC also will inject funds worth RpRp1 63 trillion to LN for new stock exchange which is equivalent to 33,94 per cent shares LN.
He added, the CVC also have the option to buy additional shares in LN, a combination that would allow the CVC to have up to 49 percent of LN.
Hengkie says, the First Media also plans to further expand operations to serve the market LN Indonesia with paid cable TV service, broadband Internet and data communication that is more extensive and efficient.
At the same time, the Executive Chairman of the First Media Peter Gotha added, partnership with CVC is positive corporate action that would allow in investing a lot more to the development of the telecommunications infrastructure.
"EGM today is an important milestone for the First Media especially in realizing his vision that Indonesia has a digital connectivity and the internet a better and more effective," he said.
In EGM First Media approved of independent shareholders on corporate transactions, including issuance of bonds issuance of new shares, option rights FMTV, reorganization, lending and the management of the FOREIGN Group Company based on the shareholders agreement.
