"Confession: A Roman Catholic App," is the first program for the Apple device created by a company based in South Bend, Indiana, named "Little iApps."

"Our desire is to invite Catholics involved in their faith through digital technology," said Leinen in a press release on the site littleapps.com.

"With considering the message of Pope Benedict XVI from World Communications Address last year, our goal with this project is to offer digital applications that really ' new media at the service of the word," said he was quoted as saying the AFP.

This new application is valuable 1.99 u.s. dollars in the Apple iTunes store.
